Affinity Spaces
Monthly during the school year (started in 2019)
Every month, Porject LETS @ Penn hosts Affinity Spaces for people with lived mental illness experiences. Â Currently, we have held affinity spaces for depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and neurodivergence. Â We hope that affinity spaces will serve as a safe space for attendees to take a break, discuss, and meet other people with similar experiences.
Accessibility and Accommodations with The Bazelon Center

The Judge David L. Bazelon Center For Mental Health Law is one of the only law centers in the country dedicated to serving students living with mental illness or disabilities. Representatives from the Bazelon Center gave a presentation on best practices for students' accessibility and accommodations on campus, and a student panel on their experiences with accessibility at the University of Pennsylvania followed the presentation.
Project: Dear You
Nov. 30, 2018 | In Collaboration with Project HEAL
Project HEAL & us created a video and message board on Penn's campus for students to share their positive voice with the Penn community. Â We encouraged students to share what body positivity means to them on the message board, add to our giant word cloud of positive messages, and spread self-love around campus.

The S Word Screening

The S Word is a documentary from the creative team behind the award-winning Of Two Minds that tells the stories of survivors and families of individuals who completed suicide.

A panel and discussion educating attendees on eating disorders and behaviors.
A Conversation with Suicide Attempt Survivors

AÂ panel where students shared their experiences with suicide and/or suicidal ideation. Â Panelists also gave audiences pointers on how they can support and help a friend or family member who is experiencing suicidal ideation.
Living with Mental Illness at Penn: a panel

A panel in which an ensemble of Penn students with lived experiences of mental illnesses shared their experiences as a Penn student and discussed the challenges they have faced at Penn.
